The Fire of '98
A downloadable game for Windows
Overview
Years ago, a whole city block burned down in the Fire of '98. Investigators ruled it was a tragic accident and it lives on as an unfortunate accident for the locals in the area.
But the recently discovered bodycam footage of Constable Kenneth Abbey, a rookie police officer who follows the trail to find out what really happened back in the Fire of '98, tells a different story...
The Fire of '98 is a short psychological horror-shooter. It takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. It is recommended to play this game with headphones in a dark environment.

Survival horror shooter
I had a good time playing your game, Never usually do shooters with mouse & keyboard but I didn't do too bad, Thanks for making the game.
thanks for the game, cool graphic and plot twist story. But for some reason after i finished the game, i have a message from you, sadly, i can't open the message. idk why?
Intresting world building. Really got into it the more I got to hear about what was happening. It wasn't as spooky to me as it could've been. After the third encounter I learnt how to survive without a problem. Normal enemies = shoot; Slow Lady = Run. And that was it. But as a solo project I really enjoyed it. A fun shooter with cool stor

Are you planning on releasing this game for Linux? :)
Very well done atmosphere and animations, loved the little bits of lore dropped by notes. Thank you for making this!
very good
This was honestly a solid game, although short, it is intriguing, intense and straight up fun to play, congrats to yall
btw, prop's to you guys for the low end support
WAS THAT THE FIRE OF '98????
good game, btw
It was interesting and pretty unexpectable. I mean, it was pretty obvious that something's off (it's a horror game duh) but I didn't expect some kind of a ghost story. Two things though. First, it should be either night vision or flashlight. Both just won't work. And second, if you start the game over (I restarted it once), all the ammo you picked up remains. So I was pretty much ready for a little army. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable!
Really enjoyed this one guys its hard to make a game scary even with a weapon but you pulled it off, great job i loved this! :D

AMAZING HORROR GAME DEV
Solid work for your foray into horror. Even though it was a bit key hunt heavy, it’s more then forgiven by the tense gameplay and story. Nice to see a horror game that isn’t just Generic Unity Horror Game(tm). On the contrary, one with a unique story and gameplay were you fight back.
Also, loved your personal message and your highlight of others.
Aww thank you for the kind words!! And thanks for playing :)
For your first horror outing this is pretty solid I thought, and I have to give a huge commendation for how you credited everyone who's work was used in the game.
Thanks so much for the support, I'm happy you got a kick out of it :)
The game's fairly decent for your first attempt at horror. As a dev, I would recommend looking at other horror games to learn what games do for horror. But once again, nice job.
Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/c/Levont
